I have to admit that after starting this book, I felt that the author was carrying the stories told from the dogs' point of view to a somewhat ridicultes level. But an odd thing happened. By the end of it I was thoroughly engaged with Taser, Meatball and the other dogs in Taser's pack. I have gone on to read the rest of the books in the series and found them to be good mysteries as well as quite funny. Dogs' views of human behavior, such as 'mating and mounting' were hysterical. And who can argue when Taser thinks about how much he likes to see dead cats in the street: 'I love those flat kitties." If you like dogs and mysteries I think you'll be happy with this series.Product details

Jerry Brandon really captured Taser and Meatloaf as well as their human owner! He had me within the first 5 pages! My wife and I read both of Brandon's books and think Disney should make an animated movie! Cannot wait for more!
I have read all the books about these two labs and absolutely look forward to the next in the series!
Read all the howl book. Excellent writer.
Like the dogs. Get a laugh out of Meatloaf. Hope the series keeps coming. This kind of book brings me relaxtion from day to day stress.
A story written in the voice of the dogs that hits it out of the ball park! I feel like I would know Taser and Meatloaf anywhere! Great mystery too! What's not to love?
I liked it. I like dogs and it is interesting to hear what they might be saying to each other. Big adventure for them. Funny to see how different the two dogs are, different opinions and life goals even though they live together.
I love to hear what the dogs think. I know that it isn't real but it does give insight into how the author feels about things. The dogs, I am sure are based on people in the authors life. I was sorry that the brown lab died in this one. I kept hoping that he was just knocked out. He ended up being a hero. I like the way he writes and this is the second story I have written. I don't know how long I will be willing to read it from the dogs point of view but so far I am enjoying the stories.
