I know that every time I open a book by Stella Rhys, I’m in for a good story with lots of feels. This book was no exception. This book was so good, that it blew my mind. I loved it so much it has left me speechless.

I loved Emmett and Aly. I loved their past. I loved their connection. I loved that they were basically frenemies. They battled it out at school, but on the weekends, under forced family functions, they were best friends. Emmett was definitely a little jerk to Aly when they were kids…the pranks, the way he used to try and get under her skin…I don’t blame her for being so irritated with him. But at the same time, I loved how everything unfolded and you got to see exactly how much Emmett loved Aly. How all he wanted was for her to be happy. And Aly had a lot working against her. Her father was the worst. I’m literally at a loss for the words to adequately express my disgust for that man.

I highlighted so many passages in my kindle, that it’s not funny. Stella Rhys just knows how to give the feels. I loved seeing Emmett fight for Aly. I was going to say fall for her, but the reality is, he’s always been in love with her. Yes, he was finally getting to act on it, but he was always in love with her. I’ll admit, I expected the thing that tore them apart in high school to be bigger. I mean, yes, it was a pretty significant event, but at the same time, I was surprised that it wasn’t more. But I loved how Emmett reacted when he found her. I did feel bad for Aly though, because the fallout from the event was more isolation from family and friends, taking away what little she had. And my heart broke for Aly and Emmett when Aly realized everything Emmett went through after she left. He needed his best friend, and she wasn’t there because she was angry at him.

This book will definitely stand as one of my favorites and I’ll definitely be reading it again!

This was a good steamy read. I finished this story in one day. I achieved nothing around my house, we ate pizza for dinner, and my kids got to skip bath time.
I regret nothing, and I want more of these characters.
This was my first read from this author and I really enjoyed it. Aly and Emmett have a lot of history and animosity and when they meet up it seems nothing has changed. What starts out as an easy hot read turns into more with some plot twists and genuine emotions. Great read.
This one had believability! The road they took had troubles, not bumps, and each had to deal with some heavy issues. And it wasn't the trite story of childhood perfect friends who lost virginity to each other and ran, only to be united years later. This story had very realistic issues that the male and female finally addressed and worked through.
Stella Rhys is a wonderful author who manages to get you hooked to this book in seconds.

This standalone series is one I would recommend to everyone! I just loved Emmet and Aly from the start. The only thing I needed a bit more of was Emmets mother and Ally's dad. How that go further. I know Emmets mom ws over the moon with Ally but I would've loved seeing that.
Allys dad was actually a real piece of work..
Emmett and Aly were hilarious. I loved their meeting and their tension in the house at the beginning. Reading about their history made me love their story even more. As we saw each of their interpretations of their past, we gained more information about each character and I really enjoyed seeing more of Emmett than just the happy go lucky guy we read about in the first two books. Aly's relationship with her father broke my heart so much. But, it only proved how much stronger she was because of it. These two were great!
Wowwwwwwwwwww, I just devoured an amazing story. This was my first book of the author and definitely not the last, she didn't disappoint me at all. This enemies/friends/lovers story has been the best one yet. The connection, the chemistry, the angst, the laughs and the intensity of the love was beyond perfect. Emmett I want you to myself so please I'm waiting. Aly you are my favorite person, I want to be like you when I grow up. Overall this book was well written and I was amazed by the feelings. Just PERFECT!!!!

First let me say that life has gotten in the way, so I haven't had the time to review books like I should (& used to) but this book was so good not only did I stay up to the wee hours reading it(couldn't put it down) but knew I HAD to make the time to review it!
I'm not sure how I was gifted an ARC copy of this to read and review, but I was and it truly was a gift for I fell in love with the H/h in the first chapter and have also found a new writer to stalk, I mean read.
I won't go into the plot of the book for other's are doing that and the blurb says it all. What I will say is that the characters are well developed, likeable, realistic.....I really cared for them and rooted for their HEA!
I will warn you that this is a very hot, sexual and sensual book, so read it with a large glass of wine and a larger fan near by.I
As I mentioned I was gifted this book, but it was so good I will be purchasing it as well for myself and my friends.
Pick it up, you won't be disappointed.....you may even find a new author to read!
